Our battery housing is a hollow box that on the outside replicates the exact dimensions and appearance of an original equipment battery for 1955-1969 BMW Twins. You simply put a modern battery INSIDE of it! Run the cables out through the holes in the lid, and presto — the battery on your vintage bike looks correct again! It's the perfect battery disguise! Most owners of vintage BMW Motorcycles want their bikes to look as original as possible. But today's batteries, though far superior to the ones of yesteryear, don't look AT ALL like the ones that were original equipment in the 1950s and 60s. And a wrong-looking battery really stands out on an otherwise accurate restoration. Here at last is the perfect solution.

Original 6 Volt systems: We recommend the Shorai 6V Lithium-Iron battery or the Power-Sonic 6V Sealed Batteries (both shown at right) as either one fit will easily inside the housing. Then use foam bolster padding (included with the Shorai) to surround the battery and keep it from moving or bumping around inside the case. You could also wire (2) Power-Sonic 6V Sealed Batteries in parallel for more amp-hour reserve. 

Upgraded 12 Volt systems: We recommend (2) of the Power-Sonic 6V Sealed Batteries wired in series or (1) Shorai 12V Lithium-Iron battery. Then use foam bolster padding (included with the Shorai) to surround the battery and keep it from moving or bumping around inside the case.

Take the final step and apply a Mareg or Bosch brand logo sticker (sold separately) to the outside of the case for the finishing touch.
